1. What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is the Indian system of medicine for the promotion of positive health or psychosomatic wellness and treatment of diseases.

2. What is the concept of health in Ayurveda?

Ayurveda envisages health as Structural and functional balance of the physical body and the enlightenment of the Mind, Senses and Soul.

3. What are the causes of diseases according to Ayurveda?

Structural and functional imbalance, Accumulation of toxins and loss of immunity and immuno-modulation are the causes of diseases.

These causes develop as a result of changing life styles with regard to food and occupation , lack of disciplined life, psychosomatic stress and strain and environmental pollution.

5. What is the concept of treatment in Ayurveda?

Ayurvedic treatments are specific for the prevention of diseases, promotion of health and management of diseases.
 In management of diseases, Ayurvedic treatments are designed for removing the causes of the disease rather than the symptoms.

6. What are the different components of Ayurveda treatments?

Psychosomatic purification and rejuvenation, specific therapeutic procedures and drug formulations for disease management , dietary supplements, follow up treatments for sustainable effects and instructions for disciplined life.

7. What is Ayurveda panchakarma treatment?

Ayurveda panchakarma Treatment comprises various therapeutic methods employed for the psychosomatic purification and rejuvenation and for specific disease management. The panchakarma treatments also include pre and post therapeutic measures. The pre-therapeutic measures are different oleation and sudation therapies (Different forms of massage and fomentation therapies and administration of medicated oils) and the post therapeutic measures are follow up treatments like the use of various Ayurvedic formulations, yoga, meditation and dietary control.

8. What are the other factors in Ayurvedic treatments?

Cool and relaxing environment and atmospheric temperature are the other factors.

9. Which are the most suitable places in Kerala for Ayurveda treatments?
